A New Hero

Today I was privileged to get to know someone who is now on my list of “Heroes I know”.

This young woman has endured so much ridicule from her peers and has still managed to be a success and not harbour any resentment or bitterness.

She is the mother of three young children and a wife to a dairy farmer and we all know of the hardship and hard work of people on the land. Plus building a network marketing empire. Way to go.

One of the many things this young woman has had to endure was mild Tourette Syndrome. Now if it wasn’t enough that she has had to cope with the facial twitch herself in some of the most fragile years of a persons development but she also had to put up with the teasing from other children as well?

She told me of how she and her mum came up with a strategy to stand her ground and stick up for herself in a very assertive and positive way which suited her non-aggressive nature and how after just the first time of using the strategy the teasing and bullying lessened. She had empowered herself shown the bullies that what they said and thought was not who she was.

As we talked and more of her story of suffering at the hands of others came out (and by the way she wasn’t complaining just telling how it was) I was becoming more and more impressed at the resilience of this young lady.

Through all this she has stayed in charge of how she feels and is determined to make her mark in the world of internet marketing. Luck the people who partner with her. I am sorry I can not tell her name, this little story is a tribute to her determination to be herself and be true to herself. I sincerely hope she is as proud of herself as she could be.

Well really that is all I have to say this time.

K be proud of yourself and keep going and doing just what you are doing now. You have been the master of your past experiences and you will be in the future as well. I am very grateful that you are now a friend of mine.
